What this kit is

This is a design-your-own chunky knit cardigan kit.

Instead of following rigid stitch counts, you’ll work to measurements and shape the cardigan as you go. That makes this project far more forgiving, and much more satisfying, than traditional knitting.

You’ll be floor knitting, which keeps your arms free and gives you full control over the scale and drape of the fabric.

You decide:

The finished look depends on your choices, which is exactly the point.

This kit includes enough yarn for one oversized cardigan.

Approximate yarn usage:

• Back panel: ~750 g

• Two front panels combined: ~750 g

• Sleeves: ~400 g each

Everyone’s stitch tension is slightly different, so these are guides rather than exact figures.

Recommended back panel width:

• UK sizes 8–12: around 60 cm

• Maximum recommended size: 80 cm wide × 55 cm long

Going wider than this will result in a much heavier, more sculptural garment.

If you can make loops and count roughly, you can make this cardigan. The instructions focus on measurements rather than stitch counts, which makes the process far less intimidating.
