Knit With Hands | Floor Knitting Chunky Blanket with Katie and Laura | Using Chunky Arm Knitting Yarn | 4KG Mammoth

We had so much fun in the studio the other week filming this how to video! We wanted to show an alternative technique to arm knitting. Knitting with your arms is fun and easy, however, if you are making a large chunky blanket that is 4KG or more, you may find it easier to knit with hands on the floor.

The reason being, arm knitted blankets can get heavy! To knit with hands instead of arms may also be a more comfortable way to create your chunky blanket if you have weakness in your wrists or arms. Plus, you can easily take more breaks, simply leave your work in place to make that brew! Or reposition your seated position or stretch your legs and arms at plenty of intervals in your hand knit project!

Katie, our warehouse supervisor, kindly agreed to be our YouTube star in this instructional knit with hands on floor knitting video. Showing us exactly how to hand knit with our super chunky Mammoth extreme knitting yarn in gorgeous Peacock Green. I’m sure you will agree this chunky knit blanket is beautiful. Laura, our marketing assistant, chimes in with beginner questions as the video goes along.

We want to steadily add more content to our YouTube channel so that you can see how to make things with our chunky yarn. We hope you enjoy this and would love to know what you would like us to show you next!
